The island of Naxos fries 625 kilos of potatoes, a Guinness world record
What do Naxos and Idaho have in common? You probably didn’t know that. They both produce potatoes, but even less so they are also both in the Guinness Book of Records for the largest serving of fries at one time. The Twin Oaks Farms in Eagle, Idaho has held this record since 2014 when it was bested by this small island which is a little over half the size of New York City. This year the geographically protected
potato region of Naxos broke its previous Guinness record by frying 625 kilos of potatoes to again become champion of the world’s largest serving of fries.
